Men's Ministry

What is...

HonorBound is the men's ministry at Dayspring.  We encourage men to grow spiritually by coming together in a male context and allow "iron to sharpen iron."  We respond to the need of having a ministry designed for men rather than just having men involved in ministries. As HonorBound Men of Promise, we strive to be: 

Men of Worship who encounter God through His Word, through prayer, and through testimony
Men of Integrity who are holy and pure, who are truthful and trustworthy, who are sincere and accountable
Men of Fellowship in relationship with God, our families, and with other men as we strive to encourage one another
Men of Discipleship through personal devotions, accountability in small groups, instruction and mentoring
Men of Evangelism (in Word and Deed) by proclamation, by lifestyle, by servanthood as we engage our world
Men of Mission by giving, by sending, by investing

Through special seminars and School of the Bible classes for men, we seek out effective discipleship.  Through our sports ministry, we offer men the opportunity to fellowship in a competitive environment while being a living testimony to the character of Christ as we interact with the secular community. And we see men grow both spiritually and relationally as they meet together in small groups. We emphasize Ephesians 5:15-17 as a theme verse for men: "Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."
